A beautiful giltwood 18th century Italian frame. The frame features squared corners with a scalloped interior trim. The top incorporates a pair of flanking finials and the center is surmounted by an openwork silhouetted lunette. The lower border of the frame likewise features a pair of descending finials and a central knot which holds a pair of flanking festoons. A very lovely and carefully worked frame.

This frame descends from the country estate of an Italian television personality. Details available upon request.

Condition commensurate with age. Minor scuffs, hairline cracks and slight chips to the gilding.
